Gorilla Permit The official Visit Rwanda website currently lists the international gorilla trekking permit at US$1,500 per person and the minimum trekking age at 15 years. Special offers are available for some Rwandan and East African Community categories.

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet your driver-guide.
Enjoy a Kigali city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and a local craft market, time permitting. Continue to Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park, with scenic views of Rwanda's famous rolling hills.
Check in at your lodge and relax.
Dinner & overnight: Musanze.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing and allocation of a gorilla family.
Begin your trek through the montane forest and bamboo vegetation. Trekking time varies according to the location of the gorilla family. Once you find the gorillas, the official visit allows up to one hour with the group.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Optional: Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund or enjoy a community/cultural experience.
Dinner & overnight: Musanze.
