Begin your day with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Board your comfortable 4x4 Land Cruiser and set off towards Lake Nakuru National Park, a scenic drive of about two hours through Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.

Arrive at the park and begin your game drive, exploring its diverse habitats including grasslands, rocky cliffs, and the lakeshore. Search for the park’s renowned rhinos as well as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, and other wildlife. The early hours offer the best lighting for photography and the highest chances of spotting animals on the move.

Enjoy a hearty buffet lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, set against the backdrop of the park’s landscapes. Take in the fresh air and perhaps spot wildlife roaming nearby before resuming your safari.

Embark on a short afternoon game drive as you exit the park, taking one last chance to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Depart for Nairobi, retracing your route through the Rift Valley.

Arrive back in Nairobi in the early evening. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport marks the end of your Lake Nakuru day safari.
